What to expect
I don't like the feeling of being "sold to," and you probably don't either. I will give you as much information as I can, and I'll also give you my advice based on years of experience. You may not even have to ask! If you're looking for a home to buy, I will show you all of those that meet your needs and that you're interested in. If you will be buying a home or investment property sight-unseen, I will preview those you're interested in and even take extra photos for you. I will stay in the price range that you tell me you want to be in, even if you can afford more. (You don't have to take my word for it; read what my clients say.) If you want me to sell your home, I'll do the research on what similar sized homes are selling for. You'll know up front exactly what the competition is like. I will share with you what you can do to better your chances of getting a higher sales price and selling faster. I'll help you with the negotiations and oversee the transaction carefully, all the way to closing. (Here's what my clients say about how I helped them sell their home.) Robin the traveler I grew up in San Antonio, and moved to Hawaii in 1990. I lived there 7 years, visiting all the islands except Molokai, as well as New Zealand and Australia. Then I moved to England, where I had the opportunity to travel all over the UK and Europe. I managed my own rental property in Hawaii and invested in real estate in England. My goal is helping you make sure your dream home is a good investment, too.
After 6 years in England, I came back to my home town. Living and traveling overseas gave me a chance to learn about many cultures. During this time, San Antonio changed a lot. Today its economy continues to grow, and the cost of living is low compared to similar-sized cities. It is also even more of a cultural melting pot than before. How I can help you One thing that hasn't changed, though, is the desire for people to own their own homes and invest in real estate. As an Accredited Buyers Representative, I offer home buyers my experience, negotiating skills, and commitment to finding you a home that will meet both your needs and desires. For sellers, my goal is to help you get where you need to go on time, while keeping you in the loop. I'll give you my honest advice on what will help sell your home quickly in today's market. I'll help you position your home on the market, negotiate the best terms in a contract, and oversee the details during the stressful time on the way to closing. My experience in marketing and graphic design gives me the skills to effectively market your property to potential buyers around the world through my website, blogs, and agent network. I work to make sure that buyers will find out about your home for sale, that it looks as appealing as possible, and that they can quickly find out more about it. Experience counts The average real estate agent sells 3 to 10 houses a year. In 2006 and 2007, I sold a total of 68 properties, including new and resale homes, lots, and multi-family properties. The year 2008 was a tough one for real estate, as most people know, but I still helped my clients buy or sell 13 homes. I was busy in 2009, with 21 sales; 2010 wasn't too far behind with 18, and in 2011, I closed 21 transactions. I am a Certified Residential Specialist, a designation awarded to only 4% of Realtors. CRS members must complete a certain number of transactions and specialized real estate courses to qualify. In addition, I am a member of the Institute for Luxury Home Marketing. Outside the US I am also a member of the Transnational Referral Network, and I can help you in finding properties in other countries. I will research the country's real estate market and find brokers or estate agents for you to interview. Once you choose one to work for you, I'll continue to monitor the transaction from start to finish.

Laurie Charles, REALTOR, SRES
Laurie has been representing both buyers and sellers in real estate for 13 years. She enjoys working with real estate investors to buy and sell rental properties, and is experienced with both residential and commercial transactions. She is a member of the San Antonio Real Estate Investors Association and the Real Estate Investors of San Antonio clubs, as well as the City South Management Authority.
A military dependent who grew up in Colorado, Laurie climbed Pike's Peak, and also lived for a couple of years in Germany. She is a graduate of Texas A&M and previously worked as a licensed respiratory therapist and ex-instructor/trainer in CPR. She speaks fluent Spanish. Laurie is active in the community and belongs to several nonprofit and professional organizations, including Link SA and First Friday Network. Her community work includes assisting Habitat for Humanity, Lion’s Field, and being a Master Trainer for the MOB (Matter of Balance). She is also a speaker for CAPS (Children of Aging Parents). Laurie is certified as a Senior Real Estate Specialist. She has received numerous awards in her industry, including the highly coveted Top Agent Award from the Top Gun Academy, only given to agents that have exceeded expectations in marketing and negotiation skills.

Rodrigo Leal, REALTOR
When he is not marketing and selling real estate, Rodrigo Leal is a singer who occasionally grabs the karaoke microphone on his days off. Born in Guadalajara, Mexico, he sang mariachi, as well as the occasional Sinatra song, and studied Finance at the Instituto Tecnologico de Estudios Superiores de Monterrey. Before becoming a professional real estate marketer, Rodrigo worked in finance for Merrill Lynch in Washington D.C., and in California in commercial and residential development. In 2009, he married the love of his life, Jennifer, and decided to call San Antonio his new home. At the moment, the family consists of two very loving chocolate Labs, and two fish tanks.
